Dave is our back up when it comes to making sure we're doing it right. Sometimes he praises us; sometimes he shakes his head and takes away our tongs.

Dave has worked at some of grooviest places in California including; the famous La Valencia Hotel in La Jolla, Cilantro's in Del Mar, Hornblower Yachts in San Diego and now for Premier Foods as Executive Chef and Manager for Qualcomm Corporation.

When he was at culinary school he won a three-week special cooking assignment at the Prestigious Bohemian Club, San Francisco. He won first place for his seafood plate at the Canirac International Culinary Competition - way to go Dave!

Peter is no rookie when it comes to meat. His parents emigrated from Scotland in 1940 and his father set up a small butcher shop in Vancouver specializing in high quality beef and poultry.

Peter has been running the family business for over 48 years and in 1984 it became Peter Black and Sons when the third generation of Black's joined the shop.

The moment we met Peter we knew we liked this guy! His easygoing style and amazing knowledge of all things meat helped us understand the magical and mysterious world of butchery - not to mention his willingness to make jokes about pork.

Rob Waggot, an accomplished chef in his own right, reels in the crowd with simple tips on choosing fish for the rookie griller.

For the first twenty years of his career, Rob worked as a professional chef, starting in his hometown of Newcastle upon tyne, England. With stops in London, Bermuda and New Brunswick, Rob eventually ended up in Vancouver and spent eight years as executive chef at A Kettle Of Fish restaurant. After the hectic pace of big city eateries, Rob found time to open Waggott's Seafoods Ltd. with his wife and partner, Norma. Located in Park Royal shopping center in West Vancouver, Waggott's Seafoods has been serving the North Shore with the finest seafood available locally and from around the world since 1991.

Just when you think think you know everything about beer, Aly never ceases to amaze us with her weird beer trivia and great advice. Check out Aly's basic beer segment in THE BAR section of our site.

She works with our good friends and supporters Rick & Barry of R&B Brewing, a traditional English brewery in Vancouver. They brew all their beer by hand to produce consistent, high quality, hand crafted ales. They defiantly get our official BBQ Boys recommendation for making some great beer! We love their Red Devil Ale.
